STUDENTS FROM MIAMI DADE COLLEGE’S INTERAMERICAN CAMPUS TO HOST ART EXHIBIT AT TOWER THEATRE

Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus will showcase a collective art exhibit, “The Eyes of the South,” by a group of female artists called W-10, on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Tower Theatre, 1508 S.W. Eighth Street. The show will run through Sunday, Jan. 21.
The group, W-10, was founded by aspiring female artists who confronted various challenges and barriers as they began their lives anew outside their native lands, culture, and language. Despite having grown up outside of the world of art, these women felt an urgent desire to paint and become part of their new country and city’s artistic community.
